Esteemed Reader,

As I get ready to open this web site, a word of introduction seems necessary.

For the last 14 years or so I’ve been compiling a book of essays entitled “Because You Never Asked”. I can only look back in amazement when digesting the fact that this work has now reached a girth of almost 700 pages, compiled almost exclusively in essays of 2-5 pages. The subject matter is limited to everything having to do with the human condition from the dawn of time to the end of eternity. The work is an ongoing one that I intend never to abandon. In other words, although this is not my job, this is what I do. I don’t do it for money. I don’t do it for fame. I do it because there is a monopoly on information dissemination that is strangling other points of view. Hopefully, web sites like this can break this monopoly.

The only essay I have ever written that does not conform to the 2-5 page length standard is one entitled “September 11th”. This one piece runs on for 28 pages, such size being commensurate with the impact it has had on contemporary times. Put simply, there was a lot to say and it might be considered a watershed for the work as a whole. Its stature is such that I have not put it into one of the categories set forth in the Table of Contents below. In truth, it transcends category in that it could be included in all of them. In any event, you’ll find it listed by itself.

If the 28 page length does not appeal to you, I suggest you start somewhere else. When you are ready for the “big fella”, you’ll know when to undertake the task.

OK, let’s get it on. All comments, be they positive or negative, will be eagerly received and deeply respected. Here’s hoping I can grab someone’s attention out there.

(The Table of Contents starts below).
